Typical Chi-Town Weekend

Ten people were shot between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning on the city's South and West Sides, including a man who died this morning after being shot on the Lower West Side and a 12-year-old girl who survived a gunshot wound on the West Side Saturday night.

And just for when the PuSH'ers start going on about another child shot, remind them of this:
The girl's family didn't cooperate with the investigation, according to police.
And we can all guess how many of these shootings were done w/ licensed and registered handguns, the system designed to keep women like this disarmed and open to attacks while the criminals (and politicians but I repeat myself) run rampant.

Through the 22nd of April, the most recently available stats, murders are up 59% compared to last year (153 to 96) and the Mayor is spending millions of tax dollars paying lawyers fighting in the courts and politicians to enter bills making you pay for his failure to control the city's crime.

Forget it Jake, it's Chi-town.

It ain't just Chi-Town. Here in "The No", the local fishwrap ran a story about the unsolved crimes (especially murders) that happen in the [minority and gang heavy] part of town. They blamed it on the "No Snitching" culture in the Black community.

One example was a murder at a community center where there were 150 people as witnesses. Nobody saw a thing.

The Boondocks had it right with their episode titled "Thank you for Not Snitching."
